SUMMER PROJECTS

Yes, the nesting phase has begun...and it has come in with fury....hahaha I wrote out a list of 14 different projects I needed (wanted) to do before Emma made her arrival. I estimated if I did one a week then by the time her due date came I would be all finished. Well...I finished them all in 3 weeks! I guess it's time for another list. Lol Enjoy the pictures....I had fun pinteresting my house :)

An old tray my sister found in a junk pile and gave to me. With a little help it turned out super cute I think. I sanded, stained and then hot glued fabric to the bottom of it.

After...

My use for it at the present :)

Before...

After... In the spring I'm changing our whole room decor and everything and the colors will be black, tan, and white...so I left part of the dresser tan. I might paint it all black eventually, I'm not sure yet.

I didn't get a Before picture of the hutch...but I got it at a yard sale and it took me awhile to re-do it but I LOVE how it turned out. Here is a during photo!

AFTER!! I painted grey over it lightly and then did the same with the red to give it the vintage look. First time I tried something like this and I'm glad it turned out to how I like it. I also took the cupboard doors off and I am going to put baskets there eventually.

Before/during of Brandon's dresser. He FINALLY let me paint it. I have been asking him since we got married!

After! So happy that is finally done :)

Before of my hideous closet doors.

After! It looks WAY better!

I needed a stand for my perfume so I went to the dollar tree and got two small pizza pans and two candlestick holders...spray painted them black then hot glued them together. I love it! However, I would get smaller pans next time because it is a tad rickety. :( But for 5.00 you can't go wrong. :)

My Perfume stand :)

Before of my scrapbook/desk area. This has bothered me so bad, so I went to Ikea and bought two book shelf cubby things and a board and put them side by side  with the board in between held up with braces.

I love how it turned out! It is so organized and the baskets hold so much stuff! I got them at Aldi's two for 5.00! So happy about that :)  I love deals!

And I painted the dish cabinet to match the hutch.

I organized this corner cupboard and put my everyday dishes in it instead of the china that was in there before. The china didn't go with the decor and I'm glad I changed it over. It looks way better. I haven't decided whether or not to paint it and/or what color to paint it.

The nursery is finally done! I'm so happy with how it turned out!! I loved putting it all together. Most of the stuff I had from Zoe's pregnancy but some is new. Putting everything up was a lot harder than I thought it would be, took me back to when I decorated Zoe's nursery. I'm happy though that I saved everything and that Emma will be able to use it :)

"May you always know my little one...you were Wished for, Longed for, Prayed for, and Wanted."
Such a perfect quote for how we feel about our baby! So happy my brother-in-law made this for us!

Our Nursery/Guestroom.

Brandon wanted to take the office and make it into a guest room but I didn't want to give up the office just yet so I compromised and put the guest bed in the nursery. I didn't want too but I'm glad we ended up doing it. It is nice to have a full size bed for people to sleep in when they come to visit. :)
I already started my new project list! Lets see how long this one takes. HAHA

Until next time....
